Patricia Burke
Patricia Burke, a native New Yorker, joined InkWell in January 2008 as Director of Dramatic Rights. She has a degree in Child Psychology from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. Patricia worked in commercial television production and later moved on to the big screen by joining Columbia Pictures as a staff story analyst. She was hired by Twentieth Century Fox as the Executive Story Editor and was promoted to Director of Literary Affairs before joining Jaffe/Lansing Productions in in 1986 as Vice President of the New York office. She established the Literary Affairs Department in New York at Paramount Pictures in 1991. Some of the book-based projects produced during that time included THE HOURS, NOBODY'S FOOL, ANGELA'S ASHES, KISS THE GIRLS, THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER, THE KITE RUNNER, and INTO THE WILD to list a few. At each juncture, words and pictures have been the key creative elements linking a lifelong interest in story telling. Her child psychology training provided a foundation for clear communication and an appreciation for the universal desires that unite us as demonstrated by the vast worldwide appeal books and movies.
